Interns from Nation Builders Corp (NABCO) in Wa Municipality of the Upper West Region were trained on how to register for the NABCO Academy online program.
The program, which was launched by President Nana Akuffo-Addo during the one-year celebration of the NABCO program, aims to examine the skills of interns for permanent employment.
Mr Nuri Mahama, the municipal coordinator of Wa NABCO, warned the trainees to take the NABCO academy seriously as it is an essential element in equipping young people with employable skills.
Mr. Nuri said that each intern is required to complete a course on the basis of the NABCO portal and study it for a period of two years for a certificate to be awarded by the NABCO secretariat and the Kofi Annan computer center. .
“The NABCO Academy is a very important part of our development and I advise all of you to register for the online courses,” he said.
Some interns applauded the government for the pragmatic steps taken to address the unemployment situation in the country and pleaded with the government to make arrangements with the implementing partners of the module to consider NABCO interns first when there is has vacancies to be filled.
Mr Nuri invited interns who are having issues with paying their stipends to visit their portal to ensure that the e-zwich details provided online to the secretariat were correct.
