Citadel data storage systems are powered by CipherDrive and provide a layer of security to encrypt and protect data at rest in a low cost deployable form factor. The drives meet the National Security Agency (NSA) Commercial Solutions for Classified Ads (CSfC) program standards.

According to company officials, the proliferation of sensor data and the Internet of Things, cross-domain computing and information aggregation are leading to a rapid increase in cyber attacks.

Citadel SSDs are based on FIPS 140-2 Level 2 and Common Criteria certified data storage technology, and are available in standard M.2 and 2.5-inch form factors, as well as SATA and NVMe interfaces, for commonly used laptops, workstations and tactical servers.

In addition to helping meet cost targets, Citadel self-encrypting SSDs contain pre-boot authentication, which requires an authorized user to unlock the SSD with a password or smart card before the computer can see the drive or start.

The capabilities of Citadel’s authorization acquisition and encryption engine make Citadel SSDs a trusted CSfC IT solution for securing information up to the level of U.S. government secret classification.
